Direction 02 of 7 · Trillium Visual Directions
Radically Transparent, made literal. The number isn't a detail inside the layout — it is the hero image, and everything else is scaled around it.

TIRZEPATIDE 3-MONTH STARTER PLAN. NEW TO GLP-1 MEDICATIONS ONLY.
ELIGIBILITY IS DETERMINED BY WASEF HEALTH.
01 · Why this one
A third of the 27 audited competitors hide pricing entirely; another third bury it behind a quiz or a signup wall. Trillium already sits in the transparent minority, but the live site treats that as a feature — a price inside a card inside a section. This direction makes it the identity. If a visitor remembers one thing, it should be that they saw the real number before anyone asked them for anything.
$133/mo is the Tirzepatide 3-month starter plan ($399) expressed monthly, the same way the live site expresses Semaglutide as $86. The $133 figure isn't published anywhere yet — it needs confirming before it goes on a page, and every figure should read from the Bask product directory rather than copy.
02 · Palette
Red is the only unoccupied confident colour in the category — zero of 35 surveyed brands use a true red. It's unclaimed partly because it's hard: too much of it reads emergency, and coral-poppy (which Noom, Superpower and Tia already hold) is a different, warmer hue. The discipline that makes it read Swiss-modern instead of alarm is quantity. One element per view, and espresso carries any second emphasis so red never has to do two jobs.
#FCFBF9Paper. Default ground — warmer than the guidelines' #F5F4F2.#FFFFFFCard. Used only where something is being itemised.#15120FInk. Figures, headlines, the secondary button. ~80% of every layout.#6B625ALine-item grey. All mono metadata and secondary rows.#4A3524Espresso. Second emphasis, inverted bands, the portal section.#C22F26Red. Fills and CTAs. Once per view, never a background field.#9E241DRed, darkened, for red-as-text — clears AA on paper at small sizes.Target distribution across a full page. If red exceeds about 6% of the visible surface, the direction stops working.
True red clears AA both ways at 5.45:1 — as type on paper and as a ground under paper type — which is what makes one red, once per view workable as a rule rather than a compromise. A brighter red would have failed as text and forced the accent into fills only, and the whole direction rests on the price being set in it. --faint sits below the text threshold on purpose: it is only the dash before a list item, where the 3:1 non-text bar applies.
03 · Typography
Two faces split by function rather than hierarchy. Schibsted Grotesk sets anything that is a quantity — it's a Scandinavian editorial grotesk with tight caps and closed apertures, it holds together at nine rem, and almost nothing in US health uses it. JetBrains Mono sets anything that is a line item, because monospace makes columns of figures align and makes a list look audited. Running prose stays in a serif so the reading parts don't compete with the counting parts.
Montserrat retires from layout type in this direction. It's a capable UI face and a poor numerals face — its wide, open figures lose authority above about two rem, which is exactly where this direction lives. The wordmark keeps Agenda Semibold, untouched.
04 · Photography
One rule governs every frame: hard, warm, single-source light with the source visible or implied, and everyone mid-task rather than mid-pose. The task rule does the compliance work for free — nobody performing means no frame can be read as a before/after, an outcome claim, or a transformation shot. Expressions run the normal human range: mostly composed or concentrating, occasional warmth, the odd real laugh, and visible effort where the moment calls for it. High-key and airy here, not moody — this palette is mostly paper, so the photography brings the light with it.
The defining image: hard direct sun, crisp window shadows across white cabinets, a warm unforced smile mid-task, one red object carrying the palette. Bright and high-key, so the photography and the paper ground are the same material.
Sixties, unretouched, mid-motion, actually laughing. The set needs a 30s–70s spread and this is the frame that proves it isn't a young-people brand.
Effort reads as capability. Carrying, climbing, slightly out of breath — the frame makes no claim, and struggle is allowed to look like struggle.
Generous negative space is part of the direction, not just the layout. A crowded frame reads like an ad; this reads like a photograph that happened.
Plain unbranded box, one hard shadow, no product visible. The category's gray-market tell is the vial-and-syringe hero; the legitimate version photographs the parcel.
These are AI-generated art direction, not shootable assets, and AI hero imagery is now itself a legitimacy tell in this category — uncanny hands, plastic skin, mismatched shadows. Use this page as the brief: one photographer, one day, street-cast or real-people boards, 35mm and 50mm at f/2–2.8, one LUT and one grain plate across site and paid social so the channels match.

Same sequence as the live site — announcement bar, sticky nav, hero, trust row, How It Works, Treatments, Patient Portal, reviews, final CTA — with this direction's palette, type and motion applied. The toggle and the nav are live. Hover the review strip to pause it.

06 · Consequences
| Area | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Pricing data | Every figure reads from the Bask product directory at build or request time. A $133 hero cannot survive a hardcoded price going stale, and price changes need approval before they publish anywhere. |
| Typography | Montserrat leaves layout type for Schibsted Grotesk. A visible change that should be named rather than slipped in. |
| Photography | Load-bearing. The direction has no texture, illustration or secondary colour to fall back on if the imagery under-delivers. |
| Category scale | Clean for GLP-1 and Dermatology, where a price is a simple monthly figure. Needs testing against HRT and Longevity, neither of which has confirmed pricing or provider scope. |
| Accessibility | Red as text uses #9E241D; #C22F26 is fill-only. Large figures are the easy case — the 9px mono line items are where AA is actually won or lost. |
| Testimonials | Process-focused quotes only, sourced through Bask with consent. Any quote touching efficacy is endorsement-adjacent and needs a compliance pass. |
This is an evolution — structural change to layout, type and accent, on the same warm-neutral foundation. It still sits past “refinement-only,” so it depends on Decision #4 resolving toward an open redesign. Unlike Open Ledger, it does not depend on Decision #1: nothing here needs the frozen recommend-rate figure.
